Tony "TNT" Tucker

Recently I spoke
with former IBF Heavyweight Champion Tony
Tucker. After a great amateur career, "TNT"
turned pro in 1980. Tucker would win the
vacant IBF title in 1987 against Buster
Douglas. In his next fight he would take on
Mike Tyson, but a broken hand early would
limit his ability, as he lost a unanimous
decision and his title. He would fight for
the Heavyweight title twice more but would
lose to Lennox Lewis and Bruce Seldon. He
retired in 1998 with a record of 58-7 and 48
KO'S.

3) The Irish Olympic squad will arrive in
the Olympic village in Beijing around 9am
